THEATRE FOUNDATIONS II (Drama 2
Theatre Foundations II is an intermediate course which builds upon the principles and practices of Theatre Foundations I. In addition to participating in class exercises and to develop voice, movement, and acting technique, students will also learn more intermediate acting methods. There will be an interactive history element discussing the background and reasons for theatre in the arts.
NO AUDITION OR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.
THEATRE FOUNDATIONS III (Drama 3)
Theater Foundations III is an advanced course which builds upon the principles and practices of Theatre Foundations I/II. In addition to participating in the study of acting and its elements, the students will also prepare to audition and market themselves in the collegiate market, and in the field of theatrical performance. They will develop deeper connection to the physical, vocal and emotional actor.
NO AUDITION OR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.
THEATRE FOUNDATIONS IV (DRAMA 4)
Theatre Foundations IV is a master level course intended to give advanced performers, directors and playwrights the opportunity to explore the methods at a more in-depth level than is offered in previous classes. This course is highly recommended for any students wishing to study theatre on the collegiate level, or appreciate acting on all forms.
NO AUDITION OR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.
MUSICAL THEATRE ONE (EOS)
Musical Theatre is intended for the student wishing to be involved with any musical production on school, community, or professional level. Focus will be on using the voice, movement, and acting skills necessary to perform in musical productions. Students will also be introduced to the wide literary and musical world of material in this format of entertainment.
NO AUDITION OR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.
MUSICAL THEATRE 2 (HYPERION)
Musical Theatre 2 is an advanced class that requires an audition the spring prior. This class is offered as an insight into the production of musicals and theory of musical theatre. You must have teacher permission to be in this class.
THIS IS AN AUDITION CLASS.
TECH THEATRE
Technical Theatre I is an introductory course which invites students to participate in the theatre arts as stage managers, set carpenters, lighting/sound technicians, property masters, scenic artists, and designers. Students will receive a broad and ranging spectrum of all elements of theatrical production and design. Some outside work on the school productions will be required outside of class.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.
TECH THEATRE II
Technical Theatre II builds upon the foundations and training of Technical Theatre I, and is an advanced course intended for students who have completed Tech I. This course invites students to specify their area of technical theatre study and prepare for a collegiate technical theater experience. Students will be given assignments and projects for upcoming productions, and will be given a more in-depth study of Theatrical design and production. This course will require time outside of class for school productions.
